The Cave of Munits
I like going on hikes in areas that have a cool back story, and let me tell you, there is the Cave of Munits has a pretty cool story. It is said the the cave was home to a mythical Chumash shaman. He murdered the son of a powerful Chumash chief and shortly met his end at the hands of an eagle. The cave is supposed haunted with his spirit.
The nice thing about this hike is it’s short, it’s nearby, and the cave is exceptionally unique. You’ll have to do some very minor rock climbing to really get inside and see all the different openings.

The outside of the cave

Once inside you can see how high the roof of the cave goes. But several openings keep it well lit.

Really dig in and explore, you can get pretty high up. There are a lot of pigeons and other animals living in the cave, the noise can make it seem like it actually is haunted.
