LA Mischief

I noticed the Tomato Battle a while ago, but was a bit hesitant to blog about it due to the price ($50).  But I just saw a deal site that’s offering it for half off.  A bit more manageable price and definitely worth it for a weird event you’d probably not experience otherwise.

The battle is happening Saturday, August 25th in Irvine Lake (about an hour outside of Los Angeles)  The event starts around 1pm with live music and a costume contest. At 4pm the battle begins and you will get a chance to throw over 300,000 pounds of tomatoes. Afterward, you can wash up and hang around for more music, dancing, and a beer garden.   

Looks like an amazing time and a little taste of Tomatina for those of us who can’t make the trip to Spain.
